I am not the one who is arguing for the sake of it. You are. So far I haven't seen any "in depth" logical reasoning from you. I am not replying anymore to your arguments unless you come up with some real logic.

i had a GC of a priority date 01-13-2003. Then my employer was kind enough to do one more simultaneous application with a date of 11-15-2004.
The attorney we were working with at that time exchanged the I140 between apps and he screwed up big time on my 2003. So we had to withdraw both my I140 approved 2003 application and the 11-15-2004.
Then we had to go back and apply for Perm and start the process again. I spent 5K and my employer about another 5K on 3 apps so far.
if it is fate on one side it was USCIS on the other, but god was on my side, and hence i am still in this country!!!!

Thanks for your reply, there are a lot of conflicting reports from different sources so I wanted to be sure. Have you traveled in the past month or know of anybody who has come back without a transit visa through Frankfurt? The new Schengen visa rules are causing a lot of confusion. Thanks!

It says otherwise approvable but for name check. Does that mean Visa numbers are already allotted for these 47K cases hence they wont eat up the visa numbers?

Hi All FP seekers! I do not know what exactly I am missing if there is a delay in FP. It looks like hundreds of IV members are too much worried because of the 'delay' in FP. Let me worry too (by knowing the big problem!). Can any worriers explain??
On the other hand is it not better to have a late FP, so that you need not go again in the next 15 months! Anyway for most people GC is going to take years!

Everyone of those people using AC21 will come from an existing job. They will typically go to a higher paying job. Every one of those jobs vacated will have to be sought on the open market, where they'll have market rates of today vs three years ago.

On your previous post you mention about salary hike and %ges...can you please clarify if a person continues to work for same employer (who filed PERM and 140) and salary hike is (base salary or bonus) 10% or more per year and AOS application process takes 2-3 years (so, total 30% difference in 3 years)...is that a negative on your application? or can it be a reason for denial?

So I am not sure if salary hike at the same employer would hurt AOS application in anyway. On the face of it, it should be a no brainier and we would like to hear that. Most of the times, we all want to hear our lawyer give us a specific reply, so even if they lawyer is telling us something which doesn't directly imply what we want to hear, we still think that that the lawyer is telling us what we wanted to hear - "selective hearing".
But some lawyers have told me that substantial salary increase (30% in 3 years can be seen as substantial) could be a problem at USCIS. They could argue that the job/job requirement/job responsibilities have changed substantially as there is a substantial change in the wage rate offered. So it’s a grey area. In effect, system is designed to keep us where we are till the time the green card petition is approved. I realize that this doesn't provide a definitive answer to your question and sorry about that, but this is as much as I could find out about the specific question.

Some of my clients have asked me to post here and clear up some issues. I get 90% of my business from attorneys and employers, not from chat boards.
We have never taken more than authorized on the card. The form is automated and submitted by the client. We never even see the card #. If anyone has a problem with double submissions (if they hit submit twice) we always credit back.
You are soliciting business from IV site. You don't have a disclaimer or no shame in doing that. You filled your charge country as UK and pretend to be GC aspirant. You can advertise your thing by paying IV, not by these cheap method of interfering here. I know many friend burn their hands.

enggr ran away. He faked his experience(which most of the people do, I think to get GC) and tried to get EB2. Good and Inteligent IO catched it and sent RFE. Ran away for life.

friends ..are we giving up before even trying ??? this is the least that we can do ..just write that you are a skilled legal immigrant with american kids. you have followed all the rules for 6-8 years ..waiting for a GC so that you can buy a house (or if you have a house then there is a danger that it will go in foreclosure because of GC delays) ..few minutes is all that is needed

Let us just not give up. Big names in Industry and rational voices in TV are slowly opening up to what we are facing.

My lawyer is asking 350 for EAD and 500 for AP for each person excluding filing fees.Is it normal.or Can I go to another lawyer for EAD and AP who is cheaper than my company lawyer.
In general they are inclusive ie 485 + EAD + AP for primary is $1000 and for additional is $500 which is a standard.
