    In my case I got a hard LUD followed by a soft LUD on 9/24/2008 and the message was the same. I was very confused if my case was transferred to NBC as I was going out of the country and did not want to miss the interview if anything came up.

    After numerous attempts like calling NSC, making an inquiry through the congress rep and taking an Infopass appointment I was still not sure what was going on. Had already been through the NSC->CSC->NSC xfer and this new transfer again, god knows where!!

    This thread kind of calmed me a bit as it clearly showed that I am not the only person who is seeing this message.

    So, in effect this thread definitely helped me and am sure helped some other folks as well.

    This is a discussion board and I don't think you can classify anything as being dumb or foolish. If you are a master at knowing rules and interpreting them better than others GOOD FOR YOU!

    it probably means.. they are opening each and every mail they have recived and checking if the docs are in order or not..if they are.. they file it...else they send an RFE...

    i dont understand..how someone can be so f@#$% dumb as not know this simple procdure..

    there are so many posts..i got a LUD what not.... its annoying...
    its like.. USCIS touched my lu(n)d..will i get a GC now..

    Nag, u r in a bad situation no doubt. But u had every chance to apply for labor via PERM as well (many of my friends did that) just to be on a safer side. So u r partially to be blamed for ur sorry state.

    MY Company never wanted to allow another application through PERM.

    Just came back from Info pass appointment.

    The officer told me that they haven't seen any thing wrong in the system.
    Further he told in both of our cases the back ground check is completed and cases are "pre-adjudicated" (i don't know what does it mean)

    Then i have asked him why the letter says "not admissible under the current law"

    He said, there might be a very minor details the officer needs to clarify or send it to his superior for review. Further more he said he does not have the physical file in his hand right now if you want i will request for the file and look into that. I asked him what do you suggest on this, he said wait for some more time as i don't see any problems in your case. If i order the file your case will be taken out for nearly two months from the queue.

    Here comes one more preacher. Most people on this forum are no saint, they not even a man (or woman) enough to stand up for themselves.

    We are a Union and thats how a union works that is actively supporting the cause of its members.

    If one is stupid enough not to understand that we are trying to help everyone and thus this "one help" need to be demanded then god help that person.

    Understood, we all may have problems but those could be solved with whatever our share of work we can do to support this cause.

    If someone says that they don't know what IV policies and activites are and blames that nobody explained to them. Well... thats a lame excuse. It is very much on the front page of IV

    Number is the bargaining power and we are here to bargain. Period.

    Yes, u got that right. I am one angry man and regret that what I am doing goes against the spirit of IV.

    Now my direct question to you is : are in or are u out?

    Whatever IV is doing fine, nobody here denies that. But here are few points which I think eveybody else is trying to convey, which somehow you don't understand:

    1. This site has an open forum where not only active members of IV, but other people (cowerds, that is what you think, you out-spoken fellow) also seek advice, share their experiences and hence help each other. And mind you, because of these all people, IV and this site also get so much popular.

    2. The other point is WHY YOU PUSH SO MUCH FOR HELP. I think everybody understands the efforts of IV, but let the person decide himself/herself whether he/she wants to give money, go to DC ralley or not. Help is not demanded.

    3. Please mind your language. I don't know why you have so much of anger and you use abusive, disturbing language for others. Its very easy to say a F* word, but very difficult to sort out others problems in decent and graceful manner. I don't think any group like IV (CARE, CRY and hundreds of NGOs in India) will push people like you do.

    4. And people like you are shame for a group like IV (please ask pappu too to confirm) who spread negativity like you did in this thread.

    You need some help to suppress your anger. Please do that Dear plassy...

    Thanks for the responses. How about this question ?
    Is it out of status if one gets paid from 2 companies with
    2 H1bs , like, If one is on bench but getting paid by that company, starts working with 2nd company on transferred H1b, so it is like double pay for about 2-3 weeks .

    If you're getting paid while you're on bench with Company A, and Company B has transfered your H1, and is paying you as well, that's not a problem. The problem arises if you're on bench and are not getting paid. On H1, one has to be paid even if he/she is on bench.

    No FP notices. Spoke with the lawyer today morning and he mentioned that as the FPs are elgible for 15 months, they issue the FP when they "think" that they shall be able to finish the case in that 15 month time period.

    My EADs say FP not available, but I believe that it is not a big concern.

    Now that my EB3 PD is Sept 2001, I am hoping to get the FPs sooner rather than later.

    As for I-485 Reciept Notice's receipt date, will check with lawyer again and update you folks on that.

    My neighbor was asked to how many years he worked with the company who sponsored his green card. He mentioned he had worked for two years. This was when he was applying for citizenship.

    Although there is no mention in law for a specific duration. As Pappu said, its a lawyer's interpretation. I have yet to see USCIS's interpretation, especially what is the criteria followed in the naturalization interview.

    Is this supposed to be cribbing, just for the heck of it? In what way can getting a 2 yr EAD be bad news?

    For EB ROW, if they issue 1 yr EAD...does tht mean their 485s are not approved for at least 1 yr?

    Received 2 year EAD card in email. Card is valid from jul 30th 2008 to jul 29th 2010. My PD is current.(May 06). Dont know if this is good news or bad news.

    Yes you are right, there is bound to have EAD flood in market, with spouses of hi-tech worker will come to market to search hi-tech job with spouse phone support. I have seen such cases countless times in past few years and yes they will be in future without exception. However, matter of fact, these fresh EAD (previous H4) don't get the dream job in first attempt, it takes good 2 year to find a similar job that H1b hitech worker does.
    But thats the realty of market, every year new jobs are added and every year new job seekers join the crowd.
    On the otherside, a hitech worker is suppose to always learning something new and getting his/her position more stronger everyday, its a knowledge market, whoever knows more gets better $$. With my 7yr US exp and total 10 yrs CS exp I have no scare that any single fresh EAD will come close to me. A senior is always a senior no matter which field you talk.
