FYI: USCIS does not charge for Visa Lottery... It's FREE.
Well again...if they allow to file 485, most of those folks will
file EAD and Parole too.. more money and more money :D
Its the same reason they wont discontinue Green Card lottery.
I think last time about 5mil people participated with $100 entry fee.
So its $500 Mil dollars..thats half a billion.....Nobody would kill the
goose who lays golden eggs... :D :D :D :D

Yes you are right, there is bound to have EAD flood in market, with spouses of hi-tech worker will come to market to search hi-tech job with spouse phone support. I have seen such cases countless times in past few years and yes they will be in future without exception. However, matter of fact, these fresh EAD (previous H4) don't get the dream job in first attempt, it takes good 2 year to find a similar job that H1b hitech worker does.
But thats the realty of market, every year new jobs are added and every year new job seekers join the crowd.
On the otherside, a hitech worker is suppose to always learning something new and getting his/her position more stronger everyday, its a knowledge market, whoever knows more gets better $$. With my 7yr US exp and total 10 yrs CS exp I have no scare that any single fresh EAD will come close to me. A senior is always a senior no matter which field you talk.

Recent discussions have indicated that both the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) and the Department of Labor still have a significant amount of cases in their backlog reduction efforts. As a result, the anticipated increase in demand has not yet materialized and may not for some time. Therefore, in an effort to maximize number use under the annual numerical limit, the Worldwide and Philippines Employment Third preference cut-off dates have been advanced by one year.
Unless there is a significant increase in Employment demand, it will be necessary to continue this rate of movement during the upcoming months. Such movement could be expanded to include other chargeability areas and preference categories.
One consequence of rapid cut-off date advancement is the inevitable increase in demand for numbers as adjustment of status cases are brought to conclusion at CIS Offices. Such increased demand could have dramatic impact on the cut-off dates. Readers will be provided as much advance notice as possible should this occur.

That is accurate I have done 10+2+1+3
For EB3 one needs to show 4 years of degree and 2 years of experiance. Normally every degree year is equivalent to 3 years of experiance. I don't know how USCIS sees diploma. In your case a very strong evaluation certificate is needed.

What you are saying I understand. And many american/GC holders work as independent contractors on 1099. But H1B is never designed for independent contractor (1099). H1B is designed as W2. By using percentage basis H1B consultants are trying to work like independent contractor on 1099. USCIS is trying to crack down on that.

Can you call up the customer service to know your status as to whether you are pre-adjudicated or not?
As per this everyone who got pre-adjudicated would be receiving their GC in FY2010. But, there are people from EB3I with PD as late as 2007 who got RFEs recently and got their cases pre-adjudicated( I am one of them even though my PD is March 2003 and when I called up NSC, they said my case was pre-adjudicated and waiting for a Visa number ).
With EB3I staying at 1 Nov 2001 when the new FY2010 quota starts in October doesnt match to what Ron Gotcher says.
Anyone have any opinion?

Most of the EB2's are very happy with the bulletin (which they should be) but I also see most of them are non-donors (or the free riders).
Thanks IV as always for the updates and keeping the hope alive.
Agreed that I haven't contributed (yet) but that's a mighty big acquisition from your end on calling all of us EB2's free riders without any considerable data to prove it.
I think it's within our best interests to remain united until things are straightened up but I sure can understand your bitterness and hope the best for you too.
